1. We also have many of these values in Norway aswell. Democracy, freedom, friendliness etc. I think the biggest difference between the Norwegian and the American culture is the principle that people in a much larger scale are individuals and responsible for their own destinies and future. In Norway, we pay taxes which we some what equally share. In the USA however, you don't get the same kind of support, and you'll have to earn money, and climb the social ladder on your own.
3. Media presents Americans as an extremely multicultural people with different opinions and religions. There are republicans who wants to build a wall between Mexico and the USA, and there are democrats who think that imigration improves the country and society. Media also tend to only show the negative things about a thing. In America, violent police seem to be a big problem.
5. In Norway, we have a democracy. We have equality, and freedom. We have a society filled with friendliness and hospitality. All of these values are important to me. The fact that we live in a country where you can get education and a job.
