The worst possible answer is that she is pregnant. Sam still believed it was one in a trillion chance that she was going to say something else. Maybe she was upset they were splitting up, or some new boyfriend were being horrible to her?

2 - What is not quite right about what Alicia is saying?
Alicia claimes that the baby is "her's" when its inside her stomach, and "their's" when it comes out. This wasn't quite right because she could decide if they were going to keep the baby or not. But when the baby was born, he also had to participate with taking care of it. He felt this wasn't fair.

3 - How does Sam feel? Have you ever felt like this? when?
Sam is afraid. He is afraid of having a baby, and he is afraid of telling her parents. He really just want it to let it be, but he realises he has to tell someone. I have never felt like that before. Obviously, I haven't had a child before, which means I've never told my girlfriends parents that we're going to have a child. But I have had the feeling when you are going to tell someone something you don't want to tell them.

1. The first immigrants who came to Norway, came from neighbouring countries and Western Europe. In the 1960s, Norwegian economy improved, There was need for more labour, and many people came for other countries to find work. Most of them came from Europe, but as time went by, people from Asia, Africa, Latin America etc. came to find work. Later in the 1970s however, immigration was halted because of unemployment was increasing, and it was dificult to find housing for everyone. In recent years, many asylum seekers and refugees have also arrived in Norway.

2. In Norway, we have immigrants from all around the world. Especially in big ctities like Oslo and Bergen. If you drive through Oslo, you will see poeple from different countries and cultures. You will see restaurants and stores selling food, toys, clothes etc. from countries all around the world. In London, I think it is pretty similar, but much bigger. In London, big parts of the city is the home to many immigrants. There are cultures that differs from the rest of London and the British culture.

Smith the sealion ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

1. Once upon a time there was a man named Smith. Smith was 96 years old, but due to his age, he was an active golfplayer. Infact, he was one of the greatest of them all! On a rainy Sunday, when Smith was playing golf with his lads, he got a phonecall from his GP. He had incurable cancer. Smith giggled while he sat down in his golfcart. He started the engine and threw away his phone. "See ya later lads!" he said to his buddies, while reving the engine. Before they knew it he was driving in an insane speed, spinning up the lawn. He put on the stereo and played his most insane dubstep remixes by Skrillex. He stopped in the middle of the golfcourse and stripped naked. He sat back down in the golfcart and drove towards the lake. "I'm a sealion!" he yelled while jumping into the water. Smith had turned into a sealion. Everyone was shocked, and couldn't understand what just happened, but before they knew it, they did the exact same thing! Stripping naked, playing Katy perry on their stereo driving towards the lake. "We are sealions!" they yelled while jumping in the water. Noone have ever seen Smith or his lads since then, but legends say they are still swimming in the same lake, playing Skrillex and Katy Perry on their stereo.

1. Do you think the fact that the British are islanders has had an effect on the people and their values?
In the 17th and 18th hundreds, London harbor was the worlds most busiest harbor with over 60000 ships visiting every year! Alot of the goods that come to the UK today, come with boats.

2. In Which part of the UK would you have preffered to live? why?
I would love to live in London. There are alot of attractions and cool places to see, and many nice people to meet. I would love to get better known with the British culture, food and poeple, and especially in London!

-The Capitals in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Scotland, aswell as some of the most known cities in those countries.

English as a World Language

1. Today English is spoken by 1.2-1.5 billion people around the world. Only 350 million of these have English as their mother tongue. English is also the most important lingua franca. When we travel, English is usually the language we speak. In the nineteenth century, the British Empire had a dominant position, politically, economically and culturally. They had traveled all over the world building their empire, but in the twentieth century, Britain suffered great losses in the two world wars. Britain lost its position as the world's leading power. However, another English-speaking nation, the USA, became a superpower. This ensured the continuing international importance of the English language.
Today,  we are surrounded by English. All the way since English became a world language, it has developed in different directions.

Some words that are pronounced differently are car, star, pillar, etc. The r’s are pronounced differently. In RP the «r» is more round than in GA.

2.    Name the five main spelling differences between AE and BE.

1.    Some words that end in –ter in AE end in –tre in BE.

2.    Some words that end in –og in AE end in –ouge in BE.

3.    Some words that end in –or in AE end in –our in BE.

4.    Verbs that end in –ize/yze in AE end in –ise/yse in BE.

5.    In BE, the –L at the end of a word is doubled when a new ending is added. In AE the –L is only doubled if the stress is originally on the second syllable.

Viewpoints Task 1

I chose  the quote by Bette Davis.

"If you have never been hated by your child you have never been a parent."

Parents usually don't let their kids do whatever they want. This is important and probably the most right thing to do. Atleast in my eyes. Bette Davis, the author of the poem, tells us that a good parent sets limits. Bad parents are the one's who don't make limits for their children, and let them do whatever they want. But what about learning from your mistakes? What about letting your kids do whatever they want? Do you have the right to boss over your child? Shouldn't your kids learn from their mistakes, and expirience it themselves like you as a parent probably did yourself?

No man is an island - poetry and song lyrics

1. What do they say about our relationship with each other?

"No man is an island"

In the poem "No man is an island" by John Donne, the writer tells us that noone are alone. We are not an island, living by ourselves. We are all involved in mankind, and every man's death diminishes us. The poem also says "Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." Everyone must work together so the main works, not consisting of small "islands" living by themselves.

"Paul Simon -  I am a rock"

The song by Paul Simon says the opposite of the poem above. Paul Simon says that living alone with no friendships and no love is the safest choice, because with friendships comes pain, and with love come tears. It's better to live in a fortress noone can penetrate. Then you wont ever cry or feel pain.

Rogers and Hammerstein - You'll never walk alone

In the song "You'll never walk alone" Rogers and Hammerstein tells us that you'll never walk alone as long as you walk with hope in your heart. Even though your dreams may seem impossible, you shouldn't let your dreams be dreams. You should keep on trying. When you make that, you'll never walk alone.

2. Write a brief comment, describing the difference.

All of the three texts says different things, but the poem "No man is an island" and the song "You'll never walk alone" are not that different, even tho they don't say the same thing. "I am a rock" is a negative text. It tells you to live by yourself, not knowing or loving anyone. In the peom "No man is an island" the writer tells us that we are all part of the main, and we have to work together. The song "You'll never walk alone" describes how we will never walk alone as long as we walk with hope in our hearts.

3. Wich song did you like the best and why?

I liked "You'll never walk alone" the best. It's an inspirational song with great text that tells us that you'll never walk alone, and you should never give up. I really liked the song because of the message it gives us, which is really relevant in today's society.
